Sound Transit's New Mukilteo Station Underway

http://www.soundtransit.org/x1889.xml

Ground has broken and the big machines have been called in. The long-awaited Mukilteo stop for Sound Transit is under construction and headed for a successful future. Considering its proximity to the ferry dock for the Clinton run, and all the traffic that comes off Whidbey Island in the morning, this stop has the potential for being one of the busiest and most convenient for island commuters.

  1. Great opportunity for me! Grab the Port Townsend - Keystone Ferry, less than a mile from here as a walk on, connect with Island Transit at Keystone Dock, FREE bus ride to Clinton (all service on Island Transit is free), walk on passenger to the Muk! With gas prices the way they are, time to look around at what is right under our noses, yes?

  2. More on Mukilteo from Port Townsend; round trip $4.55 (a gallon of gas!) Port Townsend to Keystone (walk on)$1.30, Island Transit FREE, Clinton-Mukilteo FREE (eastbound is free). Return Muk-Clinton $1.95, Keystone-PT, $1.30. Only unknown is Mukilteo to Seattle fare....

  3. Most definitely a strategic location for Sound Transit. It truly ties together some of the far flung communities dotting the Puget Sound, thanks to existing infrastructures.
