Alaska Railroad GP49s 2802 and 2809 are currently sitting at the BNSF Stacy Yard in Seattle. It's common to see power from the Last Frontier in the area, since many of their units have been rebuilt here. Why these ones are here, I'm just not sure.
ARR 2809 and ARR 2802 were tied up in Seattle. They went to Longview 2/21 where one of them got bad ordered for some reason. It was fixed and as of 2/22 they had arrived in Pasco, WA. The final destination on the BNSF shows to be Wallula WA and Simplot Feed. At one time they were supposed to go to NRE but then it changed to Simplot.

We enjoy sharing photos and news links that impact our daily lives in terms of rail. This region is an exciting place for the railroad enthusiast, once you accept the gray skies and wet tracks. There's lots to see once you know where to find it. We invite you to stop by to see what we've been up to and what we have to share.
