Shot this picture at the intersection of 3rd Avenue S. and S. Horton Street in SODO. This was the last Sounder train heading back to Tacoma for the day on April 21st. The picture is "tweaked" a bit; I removed all the power lines from the shot. I also got some help with composition and lighting from another railfan - Thanks Robert! The shot is definitely grainy; it was cheap ISO200 film, but good practice for future shots.

Not being familiar with Sound Transit - a few questions. Do they run on dedicated tracks or have an operating agreement with BNSF? Are engineers ST employees or BNSF? If they are ST employees, do they require a BNSF pilot on board? Do they have an Employee Time Table? Good overall composition with train and Seattle's skyline - looks very 21st Century. My choice for PCA - but then I look at things different from them!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The Sounder operates on the same tracks as other trains, BNSF all the way to Tacoma and Everett. From what I understand the crew is BNSF. I haven't seen anything about the employee timetable. Maybe a reader here will share.
